Oh god. That feedback. :c

Invest in a better recording space, buddy.

FlyingColours responds:

Um... Thanks for the review! :P

This is such a ponderous tune. I love it so much.

WingoWinston responds:

If you weren't eating a wheel of cheese while listening to it then you wouldn't understand the true meaning of the song.

I don't think its fair that you can just make every single genre sound wonderful. How is this fair?

WingoWinston responds:

You have great music too!

Holy shit. This sounds like something I could hear on the radio.
Fucking amazing.

Stavier responds:

Haaa, thanx mayne I appreciate it! :D

Solid vocals and I love the chord progression. You really captured the essence of pop in three hours (or less).

My only complaint is that the rising action at the beginning of the song took a little too long for me. If there weren't so many empty spots without vocals, I'd have given it a five.

Good job!

Fanopeion responds:

Haha thanks. I know what you mean though. The reason for this of course is that I was in a hell of a rush (mildly put) to finish this within the given timeframe of that challenge.

well damn, that into was just really...cold.
I don't really have any words to say because the first thirty seconds killed any preconceived notions I had about this song.

Kinda got tedious after about a minute though; felt like I was having miniheart attacks every three bars. (I'm sure that's a good thing because I was still recovering from that first drop)

I'm giving it a five because I really can't tell you what to improve. Its solid man.

ktgen responds:

lol just realized before the second drop i accidently put 12 bars of nothing but drums. im gonna fix that right away btw thanks for the review

Oh wow. I can hear the angels sing! This is perfection.

WingoWinston responds:

I really do wish I had better voice plugins :( I try my best with the ones I have though and I'm glad you think so fondly of them :)

Its strange, but in the begining it feels at some sections that the piano is fighting for the melody. Individually, each part seems very warm and full, but there is almost a dissidence.
Just doesn't resonate with me.

After listening to it a few times, I can see what you were trying to go for here; almost a pondering tune, am I right?

WingoWinston responds:

Yeah exactly very ponderingfull. I imagine Andy Dufrene (however that is spelled) from Shawshank Redemption (however that is spelled as well) strolling around to it.

I figure I could remake/remaster it with the piano just upped in power. I think its also due to the mix of two different plugins in terms of both the VST player and the VST's themselves. The piano was garritan the rest EWQL. So I'm thinking I should have adjusted for that but at the time I was working and just didn't have the willpower to do so haha.

Thanks for the review! :D

A very musing piece.

TEACH ME HOW TO BAROQUE!

WingoWinston responds:

Listen to Bach. Then to more Bach. Then for some contrast listen to A little Beethoven, Chopin, and Schubert, and then back to Bach. Then some Corelli, Vivaldi, and Purcell. Specifically Corelli's "La folia" Violin Sonata in D minor and Pucells Harpsichord Suites... he has a billion of them.

Bach is the baroque king obviously :P But, early romantic stuff will be fairly similar.

One of the most important things to getting a "stereotype" baroque song is playing in a minor key really and making it sound deep and with sorrow, but with purpose. That would be your stereotype baroque in my mind haha.

WHY THE HELL HASN'T ANYONE SAID ANYTHING YET?

I was sitting here, expecting some very horrible wannabe and overused bass line, but that drop hit me straight in the face.

I GOT SMACKED BY A FUCKING BASS LINE, GUIZE.

Seriously though, its a real solid mix. I wish it was longer, but this definitely warrants a download, 10 stars, 5 votes, and another visitation after my head unimplodes.

Superstrings responds:

wow thanks !

You know those 90 babies that seem overloaded on drugs, sex, and booze? Well, that's not me at all. 0;3
